I like the aromas of chocolate powder and dried strawberries with arid soil and mushrooms. It’s full-bodied with firm, silky tannins that are powerful and racy. Needs time to soften, but a balanced, beautifully structured Barolo. Try after 2022.

Red-berry, menthol and dark-spice aromas lift out of the glass. Reflecting the nose, the juicy palate delivers raspberry compote, black cherry and nutmeg set against enveloping, fine-grained tannins. It closes on a coffee bean note. Drink 2024–2031.
