Fully 80% of the production of Pacquet's 2016 Saint-Véran Les Cras was lost to hail, but the wine remains quite classic in profile, offering up notes of citrus zest, ripe green apple and white flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, glossy and rich, with good concentration and a gourmand, fleshy core of fruit. It's a dramatic, textural Saint-Véran that will make friends in its youth.

Packed with fruit, this young wine is already delicious. Acidity, crisp texture, zingy orange and lemon-peel flavors all contribute to a ripe, refreshing wine. It has the lift of the vintage, bright and full of fruitiness from start to finish.
