I don't always have the time or the opportunity to revisit the previous vintage, and having the 2016 Valenciso Blanco right next to the current 2017 was a great opportunity to check on its development and how it compares with the new vintage. The nose seems to have developed lots of nuance, and there are notes of diesel, nuts and some dried yellow flowers that have something that makes me think of a white from the Northern Rhône. The palate is elegant and harmonious, with good freshness, clean flavors and a tasty, long and almost salty finish. 10,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2017. It has clearly gained in complexity and seems to continue improving.
