Checking in as a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah that’s all from the limestone soils around the village of Latour de France, the 2015 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Visitare Interiore Terrae ( V I T ) has a more southern Rhone feel in its aromas and flavors, especially when tasted beside the RI release. Raspberries, violets, licorice and spice-box all emerge from this full-bodied, sexy, yet elegant ,and always pure and precise barrel sample. I’ll mostly likely taste this again from barrel next year, but it has fabulous raw material.
