Made from 100% Caberet Franc that was aged close to two years in demi-muids, the 2015 Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil Le Fondis is a ruby-hued, perfumed effort that has loads of red and black currant fruits, cedarwood, autumn leaves, and wood smoke-like aromas and flavors. Complex, incredibly nuanced, and perfectly balanced, it has medium-bodied depth and richness, ripe tannins, and the class to evolve gracefully for another decade or more. This is a fabulous example of Cabernet Franc.

Produced biodynamically from clay and gravel soils, this single-vineyard wine is richly endowed with firm fruits, ripe tannins and fine berry flavors. Wood aging has added a touch of spicy complexity. Drink from 2022.
