Bodegas Beronia is quintessentially Rioja – its wines are defined by the region and the soils where which Tempranillo vines are planted and some of those that surround the winery were planted over 100 years ago. In the 3rd century BC, Rioja was inhabited by a Celtic tribe called the "Berones." They inhabited the towns of Tricio, Varea and Leiva, marking the limits of the Berones region, today's La Rioja. The founding ethos of Beronia is strongly allied to the origins of La Rioja – to which this 2015 Reserva is a fitting tribute.

This round, juicy red is fresh and lively. Black cherry, tangy plum, leafy, toast and vanilla flavors mingle over moderate tannins and orange peel acidity. Bright and accessible, but has the structure to age. Drink now through 2030. 50,000 cases made, 3,500 cases imported.

Plum and cherry with some bark and mushroom. Some cherry-coulis. Full-bodied with round tannins and hints of chocolate. Some hazelnut, too. Drink now.
