B-21 Top Recommendation
His name is Marcelo Pelleriti, his résumé includes a 100 point Parker rating for his 2010 Chateau La Violette Pomerol, which followed a 98 point rating for his 2009 vintage. Also prominent on Marcelo's résumé, a Parker 99 point rating for his 2010 Chateau Le Gay Pomerol, preceded by a 96+ rating by Parker for Marcelo’s 2009 Le Gay. He is quietly noteworthy for being "the first Argentine winemaker to receive 100 Points from Robert Parker for a Bordeaux wine." And when I toured South America with him, tasting his wines, I understood why his most recent ratings run neck and neck with those from his projects in Europe. Tasting the fruits of his labor speaks volumes, but he prefers to remain behind the curtain; every bit as serious and sought out as Michel Rolland, yet 180° apart in terms of personality. There are very few winemakers in the world with these credentials. I've got the most important guy's wine right here, right now.
