Pure black cherry, black currant and mineral flavors mark this concentrated, juicy red. Balanced and well-structured, with a lingering aftertaste. Drink now through 2024. 100 cases imported. 90 points, Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator (2017) This is direct and charming given the size and density, but the supple texture makes the core of currant, blackberry, graphite and licorice easier to warm up to. Features a tannic backbone alongside a measure of grace and finesse. Drink now through 2028. 15,840 cases made.

90 points, James Laube, Wine Spectator (Apr 2017)

Lots of brambleberry, dark-chocolate and walnut character. Medium to full body, soft and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. Delicious now.

90 points, James Suckling (Jan 2017)

Honig's 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Deep, succulent and super-expressive, the 2014 offers up an attractive mélange of dark cherry, plum, espresso, French oak and new leather. This is an especially creamy, voluptuous style for the year. It is also very nicely done.

89 points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous (Dec 2016)

The delicious 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon from Honig is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, and the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This elegant, mid-weight style of Cabernet has soft tannins, medium body, and good fruit and purity. Drink it over the next decade.

88 points, Wine Advocate (Issue # 228 - Dec 2016)
