Fantastic aromas of crushed berries, violets, licorice and blueberries. Full body, silky and firm tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Such class for the vintage. Powerful. Better in 2022.

The 2014 Péby Faugères is a rich, full-throttle wine. Unctuous and powerful, with soft contours and fabulous depth, the 2014 shows the more flamboyant side of Saint-Émilion. Black cherry, plum, mocha, chocolate and dark spice notes build as this voluptuous wine shows off its distinctive personality. In 2014, Péby Faugères has all of its typical richness, but it also comes across as a bit restrained relative to some prior vintages, as hard as that may be to believe. Péby Faugères is 100 % old-vine Merlot from a parcel that was carved out of the original Faugères vineyard. This is a gorgeous wine from proprietor Silvio Denz and consulting winemaker Michel Rolland.
