Bright and tangy, with juicy raspberry and lime flavors on a sleek frame, lingering nicely. Drink now through 2018. 235,000 cases made.

Quite possibly this has the largest production of any single Oregon Pinot Noir, which makes the quality even more impressive. A bit in the vein of a Beaujolais, this offers Gamay-like flavors of red berry and wild cherry. It's broadly fruity and forward on the palate, with zippy acidity that punches through the finish.

Scents of wild strawberry and tar lead in this well-priced pinot noir. Its flavors lean toward dark cherry, accented by a whiff of caramel-scented oak, the tannins supple in the end.

The 2014 Pinot Noir, which comes from fruit sourced from around the state, has smudged red berry fruit on the nose that is commendably clean at this price. The palate is medium-bodied with soft red cherry and strawberry fruit, a little rough around the edges, but with good depth and length. I doubt you will find a better Pinot Noir for under twenty dollars.
