Incorporating less Grenache than normal, the 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc is a beauty! Aged all in tank (no wood) and never going through malolactic fermentation, it’s beautifully fresh and delineated, with gorgeous apple blossom, white flowers, spice and hints of minerality all emerging from the glass. Medium-bodied and balanced, it can be enjoyed anytime over the coming two decades.

A bright, floral-edged version, with a honeysuckle note that gives way to racy core of white peach, acacia, jicama, lemon pulp and apple skin flavors. Bracing zip and mouthwatering minerality adds drive and length to the finish. Best from 2015 through 2022.

Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Picpoul. No wood involved. Clos des Papes is not a place for experiments. The aim is constantly to make a wine of very high quality that meet the expectations from Paul Vincent Avril himself as well from his costumers around the world. It's a sign of quality to Avril if the wine is recognizable through the vintages.
