Pretty fruit here with spice, cinnamon and berry character. Pleasant orange-peel undertones. Medium to full body and firm tannins. Always excellent. Drink now or hold.

The highlights among these new releases, the 2011 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva Bossona is super-expressive today. Ripe dark cherry, plum, smoke, leather and licorice notes fill out the wine's ample frame effortlessly. I don't expect the 2011 to be a long-term ager, but it is quite beautiful and generous today. The ripe, giving style of the year is very much in evidence.

This is hitting its stride, revealing black cherry, leather, chocolate and toasty oak flavors, backed by a dense, beefy structure. Balanced, and will really sing with a grilled steak or lamb. Drink now through 2024. 1,000 cases made.
