The 2010 Brut Cuvée Volupté is so impressive. Deep and powerful, with terrific freshness, the Volupté captures the best this tricky vintage had to offer. Tropical fruit, pastry, brioche and warm, toast notes give the Volupté an exotic flair. There's plenty of freshness to play off all of that exuberance. This compelling Champagne from Geoffroy is an absolute delight and a great choice for readers who like a little bottle complexity in Champagne. The 2010 won't keep forever, but it sure is gorgeous today. Disgorged: November, 2019.

Disgorged in September 2019, Geoffroy's 2010 Brut Premier Cru Volupté offers up a pretty bouquet of golden orchard fruit, honeycomb, oatmeal, straw and dried white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, vinous and incisive, its crisp core of nicely concentrated fruit is underpinned by a racy spine of acidity and complemented by a pinpoint mousse. It's a touch earthier and more evolved than its 2009 predecessor, but this is a very fine Champagne.
