Firm and salty, this red delivers cherry, strawberry, mineral and tobacco notes. Tightens up on the finish, so probably best to wait another five years. Delivers fine harmony and a lasting finish. Best from 2019 through 2035. 665 cases made.

A wine with spice, dried flowers, dried fruits and sandalwood on the nose. It’s full body, with silky and refined tannins and a fresh and beautiful finish. So attractive now but better in a year or two.

A striking wine, the 2010 Langhe Nebbiolo Sotto Castello impresses for its sheer depth and power. Sweet floral notes meld into herbs, licorice, plums and camphor in this dark, powerful wine. With a little more mid-palate depth, the Langhe Nebbiolo could easily pass for Barolo. Regardless it is a striking wine. It should be even better in another year or two, once the tannins soften.
