This deep amber spirit, a blend of over 40 whiskies, has a sweet, deeply caramel scent, with a tinge of dried fruit. The flavor is oaky, smoky and dry; a little ice water mellows it nicely and coaxes out some burnt-caramel and raisiny notes. Lingering, moderately smoky finish.

Attractive aroma of toasted grain, delicately smoky peat, dried fruits, and spices follow through on silky entry to a dryish medium-to-full body with very good depth and notes of buttery praline and roasted spiced nuts. Finishes with a gentle fruit, buttercream, anise, and mossy river stone accented fade. A delicious and masterfully balanced blend.

This spirit needs some time to open up, and then mild raisin and burnt-orange aromas peek through. Caramel flavors give over to a lingering smoky finish. The distiller claims that this blend is the only one created for mixing; surely it would be nice served tall, with lots of ice and ginger ale.

Golden amber color. Aromas of butter roasted nuts and toffee follow through on a round, supple entry to a dryish medium body with good depth and layers of dried fruits and spices. Finishes with mossy peat, wet stone, and pepper on the long warming fade. Very solid with good dimension and balance.

A smoky, fiery beast that needs a few drops of water to tame to an Islay gentleman.

Dried grasses, butterscotch toffee, honey spread across hot toast, fresh green apples, custard creams, and peppercorns leap from the glass. From the sweet apple, lemon, orange, and honey, it fleshes out with toffee apple, sweet vanilla, and cinnamon stick, concluding with a little more grain character and spice on the finish. Delicious stuff!

Golden syrup, caramel, pastry, vanilla, and marshmallow on the nose with floral top notes, hints of dried apple, and bold nutmeg, cinnamon, and pepper. A firm, juicy-sweet palate with caramel, vanilla, shortbread, honey, orange, nectarine, pepper, nougat, and almond. The finish is short, sweet, and lightly spiced.

It’s a sweet dram, with a lengthy full-flavored finish of spice and silky caramels.

On the palate, there's toffee and orange cake, an array of tropical fruits with papaya and passion fruit sweetness, and a good thrust of pepper and clove, leaving just a hint of grated chocolate and cask char in a dry finish.

Not exactly a new whisky for the Jubilee, just a new pack, but it’s a good enough excuse to have a look at this top-end blend. Great maturity with masses of orchard fruits and a hint of passion fruit as well. The oak is rounded and supple while with water a banana note is released. Thick and chewy, with more grip than suggested on the nose and a little nut on the finish. Great blending.

This exceptional 21-Year-Old blend was co-created by Richard Quinn and Royal Salute Master Blender, Sandy Hyslop, during an experimental blending session in Strathisla Distillery, in Scotland. Hand-selecting a range of the finest Scotch whiskies from Braeval, Strathisla and Caperdonich distilleries, together Richard and Sandy crafted a rich, fruity whisky with hints of spice and soft smoke. A reflection of Richard’s personal palate, the blend is balanced and opulent with a remarkable depth of flavour and a lingering finish.

This Kickstarter-funded blend is a very savvy and seamless mix of 40% malt and 60% grain whiskies. Pale gold in color, the nose is inviting, with dried apricot, honey, tangerine, and salt. Everything from the nose comes together on the palate, which is soft and sweet with the right amount of oak and smoke to balance everything out. There's a dash of heat and a solid finish. Who'd ever expect such a smart and affable whisky to come from Kickstarter? (U.S. only)
