Papa's Pilar Blonde Rum (750ml)

From New York, New York

87WE

Developed in conjunction with Ernest Hemingway’s estate, this solera-blended rum has a pale straw color and rich brown sugar aroma. Despite an odd plastic note midpalate, this rum finishes with lots of bold vanilla and sticky brown sugar, and should do well mixed with ginger ale, or in any cocktail where a sweet note is desired.

Inspired by the seaward adventures of Ernest Hemingway, Papa’s Pilar Blonde is the first ever “Blonde” Rum, similar in color to the light rums Papa Hemingway enjoyed in Key West and Cuba during the 30’s. Papa’s Pilar takes rum back to its roots - when color was celebrated and fine flavors revered. It celebrates an exceptionally smooth tasting experience consisting of citrus notes, hints of almond and oak, and a creamy mouth. This uniquely crafted spirit is sourced from hand-selected rums spanning the Caribbean, U.S. and Central America, aged 3-7 years, and solera blended by our master blending team in Bourbon barrels and Spanish Sherry casks. Papa’s Pilar Blonde is distinguished and worldly, representing the original spirit of rum.
