After final blending, the spirit is allowed to rest an extra three months in used oak to harmonize the flavors and texture, resulting in the profile that fans have gone crazy over for now four decades. For this "Extra Marriage" edition, the whisky spends six months in barrel, which gives even greater depth, detail, and nuance to an already stupendous dram.
