What's in the bottle: a blend of high-proof Irish whiskeys and American bourbon. Look for a burnished gold hue and pronounced vanilla and coconut aromas, followed by a red apple note. The brisk, warming palate shows robust baked apple and butterscotch. Adding water softens the heat, and coaxes forward a white floral note plus a ginger-spiked finish.

Barrel char, vanilla, and oak on the nose, leading to a big powerful palate where vanilla cream and lemon curd play well together. It’s hot, but water quells the heat, and even without water it blossoms with emerging notes of honey, lemon, and vanilla, then a long, tasty finish that soon becomes quite mellow. This is a big one that opens nicely with water and time in the glass.
