This spirit needs some time to open up, and then mild raisin and burnt-orange aromas peek through. Caramel flavors give over to a lingering smoky finish. The distiller claims that this blend is the only one created for mixing; surely it would be nice served tall, with lots of ice and ginger ale.

Golden amber color. Aromas of butter roasted nuts and toffee follow through on a round, supple entry to a dryish medium body with good depth and layers of dried fruits and spices. Finishes with mossy peat, wet stone, and pepper on the long warming fade. Very solid with good dimension and balance.
