Bottled at 8 years old, this delivers fantastic depth and subtlety, even at its high proof. On the nose, there’s sweet cornbread and baked apples, with umami-rich barbecue spice. The palate is quite fruity, showing apples, berries, and cherry ice cream. The whiskey holds its proof well, but water brings out citrus, maple syrup, and charred oak. The finish is luxurious, with dark chocolate and hints of anise.

Aromas and flavors of Reese’s peanut butter cup and frosted caramel cake with a satiny, vibrant, off-dry full body and a warming, very long finish with notes of cornucopia of fruits, sticky toffee pudding, sarsaparilla, and peppery jelly on cornbread toast. An amazingly rich, chewy and delicious Bourbon with superb depth and length of caramelized flavors; make sure to add water.
