Ernest Hemingway once said, “Never delay kissing a pretty girl, or opening a bottle of whisky.” This rye made in his name is finished in sherry casks that are seasoned with rum, a nod to his drinking days in Cuba. It’s a blend of 6 year old Indiana straight rye and a touch of 4 year old Kentucky straight rye. The result is a rich, complex whiskey with aromas of vanilla frosting and fresh rye grain. The creamy palate serves up flavorful notes of red berries, honeycomb, coffee bean, almond paste, and nougat. A lovely, smooth rye.
