Through and through, this is full of Southern culinary delights. On the nose there’s pecan pie and cornbread, berry cobbler, and baked apples, all carried by a backbone of oak. Summer strawberries, berries and whipped cream, and vanilla pound cake make for sweet flavors that evolve with pepper and herbs on the back palate. The finish takes its time and fades gently with more vanilla and oak.
