Very saturated dark red. Youthful port aromas of cassis, licorice, chocolate, herbs and damp earth. Very intense, sweet flavors of chocolate and dark berries. Robust yet smooth and not obviously alcoholic. Superb fruit is given clarity by firm acids. Real wine-class port, with terrific structure, freshness and delineation of flavor.

A dry wine, firmly tannic, although also with acidity and black currant fruit. Spices and licorice add interest, while the tannins finish this attractive wine.

Lots of sweet dark plum and sweet cherry flavors dominate, with plenty of milk chocolate. Clean and balanced on the straightforward finish. Drink now. 30,000 cases made.
