Burnished gold in the glass, with concentrated apple and pear aromas. The complex palate opens with baked apple and toasted almond, plus a waft of campfire smoke, and winds into relatively dry flavors: chamomile tea, pipe tobacco and leather. A touch of almond butter lends richness to the finish, lifted by walnutty dryness.

Brilliant golden amber color. Aromas and flavors of roasted pecan pie, chocolate nut fudge, sour cherry-peach chutney, and butter cookie and fruitcake with a satiny, bright, fruity full body and a warming, complex, very long finish evoking elements of toasted granola, creme brulee and peach-pear tart, honeyed dried fruits, and chai. An outstanding Single Malt Scotch that is decadently rich yet ethereal at the same time with a lengthy finish that continues to evolve and fascinate.
