Dark amber color. Aromas of cinnamon roasted sweet potato, pineapple on spit roasted pork, black pepper, and toasted almond croissant with a fat body and a very long cinnamon, Chinese five spice, walnut, and anise finish. A meteor in a glass, proceed with caution and respect, then savor the warm cinnamon, pork fat and grilled pineapple flavors.

This batch was a true standout, benefiting from a longer aging period than its recent predeces- sors. It’s powerfully proofed, as usual, but carries it well, offering flavors of raspberry tart, bitter chocolate, cinnamon, camp coffee, and balanced pepper spice. A long finish continues this great ride to the end, with the darker flavors punctuated by some vanilla sweetness, all balanced perfectly by the oak.
