There’s much to savor in Dixon Dedman’s latest double-oaked bourbon, a bold dram that saunters out of the gate with aroma of rich chocolate milk, caramel swirl, Rolos candy, peanut shell, and vanilla pudding. Flavors of chocolate-covered Bing cherries, mocha, espresso bean, and fruit leather caress the palate, and there are pleasant herbal notes too. The finish is long and drying, and it coaxes out honey alongside deeper, more charred flavors.
