The Tenuta delle Terre Nere 2025 Etna Bianco is not 100% Carricante but a traditional blend of approximately 70% to 80% Carricante with Catarratto, Minnella, Grecanico and Inzolia. It was born almost accidentally from the white varieties historically interplanted among old red vines on Etna’s north slope. Marco de Grazia originally separated those grapes so that his Etna Rosso could be pure Nerello Mascalese, but he liked the resulting white blend and continued the tradition.

The nose brings cool, subtle aromas of new leather, wet rocks and lime zest. Green apple candy and honey dew elements kick off the palate, before more savory, saline elements make themselves known. A tangy, fresh, satisfying wine.

The 2025 Etna Bianco is sweetly floral with a mix of nectarines, peach sorbet, mint and lemon zest. It sweeps across the palate, lifted and juicy in style, with crisp white stone fruits and a contrasting citrus tinge. This finishes with a steely inflection and a perfumed top note.

Aromas of fresh lemons and celery with some salty undertones. Medium-bodied, crisp and minerally, with basalt undertones. Drink now.
