The blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Manseng, Traminer, and Sémillon is unconventional by any standard and certainly for Tuscany, but the 2025 Argentato is a lovely, enticing wine with lots of familiar character. Plush apple and pear aromatics really pop at first, followed by racy lime pith and flashes of peppery spice. Air brings out a bit of the waxy Sémillon character to add depth. The palate is bright, racy, and vibrant all the way. The tree fruit flavors are center-stage though less round than the nose would suggest, with precise acidity percolating throughout, all the way to the refreshing finish that carries hints of pistachio and almond skin. Fun stuff and a great everyday performer.

The 2025 Poggio Argentato is a very pretty, aromatic dry white to drink now and over the next few years. Lime, mint, jasmine and crushed rocks are some of the many notes that grace the palate in this tasty offering from Le Pupille.
