This breathtaking wine shows round, delicious yellow peach aromas. Enormously concentrated and ripe, but also blessed with very vibrant acidity. The delicate thread of bitterness that runs through this only adds to the excitement. Incredibly long, focused, stony finish. Limited production. Drink or hold.

The 2024 Riesling Dhroner Hofberger GD hits you with richness right away, which Steinmetz attributes to the ultra-ripe grapes. It is full of fruit, peach and pear skin on the nose. The palate is so stony, concentrated, poised and dry. The 2024 is like slate dipped in a mix of orange and lemon juice. It is salty, tart, ripe, juicy, yet so very stony. It is a wonderfully substantial Riesling with lots of contour. What a wine, it is monumental in aspect and svelte in stature, with immense power and drive. (Bone-dry)
