The 2024 Dolcetto D'Alba Trevie pours a bright ruby color with magenta highlights. The grapes are destemmed and then a portion of stems is added back during fermentation, rather than using whole clusters, and raised without oak, in stainless steel. Aromas of violets, fresh blue fruit, anise, and delicate pepper spice emerge from the glass. Medium-bodied, it’s bright and zesty without becoming overly green, showing snappy tannins and a crisp, saline finish. 25,000 bottles were produced. Drink 2026-2030.

The 2024 Dolcetto d'Alba Trevie is a very pretty, aromatic wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Crushed flowers, red/purplish berry fruit, licorice and cinnamon are nicely lifted. In 2024, the Dolcetto is on the lighter side, as most wines are. Aging in steel keeps the flavors bright.
