The one-off 2024 Nuits Saint-Georges Tête de Cuvée 1er Cru is a blend of 10% Les Haut Pruliers, 50% Clos des Argillières and 40% Clos St. Marc, the latter two the sacrificed monopoles of the Domaine. This has fine intensity on the nose with blackberry, black cherries, touches of blueberry and violet, leaning towards Vosne-Romanée in style. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannins, fine acidity, quite vivacious with a very pure black cherry and cassis-tinged finish with touches of white pepper. I think this was a wise decision to make seven barrels of this cuvée - it is absolutely delicious.

A unique – at least Maxime hopes never to have to repeat it – blend of Clos St-Marc (40%) and Argillières (50%) with Haut Pruliers (10%). Dense purple, with riper fruit on the nose. Raspberry and a hint of blackberry, still very pinot, with a sense of authority. Little waves of fruit as if each terroir was putting in its own offer. Good acid balance and a useful thread of acidity. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted Nov 2025.

The expressive nose is quite similar to that of the old vines Nuits except that the earth influence isn't as prominent. There is excellent intensity to the beautifully textured and finer medium weight flavors that also possess very good delineation while a bead of minerality adds a sense of lift to the lingering and relatively powerful finish. This is also excellent and worth considering. *Outstanding*
