Domaine Feuillat-Juillot has been a rewarding domaine-direct relationship for B-21 for several years now, and it's all centered on the flagship Montagny Les Coeres 1er Cru. This is, quite simply, one of our lynchpin offerings in our direct-import Burgundy program. Every vintage delivers the goods, and it's always a gangbusters best-seller that our Burg fans have embraced wholeheartedly. The 2024 just continues that trend, bolstered by a brand-new, 93-point, Five Star review from Inside Burgundy.
"A superb quality-to-price performer, not just for white Burg fans but for anyone who loves well-crafted Chardonnay."- Andrew Kitz, B-21 Burgundy Buyer
From a significant holding of 70-year-old vines in Montagny's most famous cru, the 2024 shows its clay calcaire soils and old-vine pedigree in a rounded, utterly charming style that truly offers something for everyone. The domaine's mother/daughter team take pride in the "feminine" character of their wines, and the 2024 Les Coeres demonstrates it clearly. No hard edges, graceful balance, and upfront personality all make for another fine entry in the track record of this long-time B-21 favorite. As always, our domaine-direct pricing offers you the chance to stock up - after all, this is the perfect candidate for repeat enjoyment over several years, on your own or with a crowd.
Donut peach, toasted almonds, pomelo and floral flourishes give this wine an energetic start. The palate is padded with generously ripe fruits and a touch of juicy glycerol. Camille did a very long elevage here—her longest ever—and she hopes to continue the practice in cooler vintages. About one-third of the cuvée comes from 70-year-old vines with the rest coming from 25-year-old vines, all vinified in 300L barrels from 2022 and 2023. The oak impression is thoroughly integrated here. Drink from 2026-2032. Tasted Apr 2026.
