Cristom VIneyards is one of the pioneering estates of Eola-Amity Hills AVA in Willamette Valley. In fact, the estate pre-dates the AVA by more than a decade and was instrumental in establishing the quality and stylistic benchmarks that became the foundation for the AVA's creation. In addition to their incredible estate sites, Cristom works extensively with top growers throughout the Willamette Valley, typically in crafting exceptional single-vineyard expressions.
However, they've taken these sources in a new direction in 2024 with a fabulous, entry-level Wiillamette Valley cuvée that combines their own Eileen, Jessie, Louise, and Paul Gerrie Vineyards with several excellent sties such as Bjornson, Durant, Stermer, and Witness Tree to craft a beautiful interpretation of the entire Valley. With soil types ranging from Jory volcanic loam to Willakenzie marine sediment, this 95-point gem is an "elegant and structured" terroir expression par excellence, yet it also shows crowd-pleasing approachability and an easy sub-$30 price.
