The 2023 Riesling Singerriedel Smaragd was harvested with minimal botrytis of just 1 to 2% of the cleanest berries. Relative restraint defines the nose. The citrus is merely hinted at in the distance, but there is some mandarin and tangerine. The palate comes in with absolute precision and stoniness; yes, this is Hirtzberger. The citrus depth is immense. This is a Singerriedel at the top of its game, with absolute preciseness and calibrated ripeness.
