The 2023 Langhe Freisa Kyè is going to need a few years to come into its own. Blue/purplish fruit, gravel, incense, licorice, game and dried flowers give this bold Freisa quite a bit of character. The 2023 is a bit burly, but it is also very expressive of variety. In most years, Vajra tames the rustic side of Freisa, but here variety wins.

The 2023 Langhe Freisa Kyè offers hints of resinous wild herbs alongside boysenberry and fresh herbal notes. Medium to full-bodied, it carries the variety’s characteristic rustic grip yet remains well-managed and balanced. Drink 2026-2030.
