Some fine spices with a touch of cocoa powder to the black cherries and berries. Medium- to full-bodied with plenty of juicy blue fruit and firm, fresh tannins. Solid fruit in the lengthy finish. Really well-balanced. Drink now or hold.

The 2023 Malbec Golden Reserve comes from Luján de Cuyo and was aged for 12 months, mostly in barrels with a small portion in foudres. Despite the warm vintage, it balances red and black fruit, including ripe plum and blackberry, with a subtle floral lift and surprising energy. Juicy and slimmer than in cooler years, it shows plush tannins and fresh drive that keep the wine lively and focused. Tighter and more vertical than recent releases, it reflects the extreme conditions of 2023 while retaining its identity. A strong, value-driven interpretation of the vintage.
