The nose is all summery indulgence with watermelon and cherry blossom, cut with the freshness of pink grapefruit and salt. The palate leans into that citrusy salinity, while acid bursts overhead like a fireworks spectacular, to create a fizzy, undeniably delightful wine.

The 2023 Rosato Calafuria is at once energetic and creamy, striking a natural balance between tart stone fruit, ripe berries and round, almost leesy notes of candle wax and lanolin. This is surprisingly complex for a wine of such large production (more than 50,000 cases). Salty and salivating, I keep dipping back into the bottle. A pretty hint of mint lingers on the close. Yum.
