The nose of this Pinot is lifted by aromas of fresh berries, Bing cherries, pithy orange peel, and black tea. The palate brings neatly balanced tannin and acid, with ripe cherry-berry fruit flavors and savory spice melange ebbing and flowing through the finale.

Nearly seamless in the glass, the 2023 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard is one of the most elegant wines in this range from Three Sticks. Silky, nuanced tannins and lifted aromatics are immediately alluring. Blood orange, mint, cinnamon and rose petal grace the palate, punctuated by brisk, salivating acids that come alive on the finish. This is such a gorgeous, vivid wine.

A touch reductive, the 2023 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard delivers expressive notes of ripe cherries, peppery lift, fresh flowers, sweet herbs, orange peel, and terrific clarity. It benefits from a bit of air if opening now and carries about 25% whole clusters. I like this a lot right now. Drink over the coming 15 years. Drink 2026-2041.
