The 2023 Blanco Reserva (85% Viura and other white varieties from Rioja), aged for 10 months in 85% new oak, leans classical in tone. On the nose, pear, white peach and delicate herbs rise first, joined by melon rind and discreet oak. The palate is dry, oscillating between creamy breadth and crisp tension. A fine thread of freshness carries the wine through a finish marked by toast and flan. With time, it should gain complexity. A Rioja white that subtly nods toward Burgundy.
