There is a marvellous precision and depth of flavour to the ripe raspberry and pomegranate fruit. The texture boasts lovely density and enough freshness and concentration to draw the wine to a lingering finish. The vines are from 0.3ha of old vines in the lieu-dit Sur Les Grèves at the top of the hill; they are partially destemmed, fermented with native yeasts and then aged in cask, one-third new.

The 2023 Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves is elegant and refined, offering up notes of orange zest, plums and berries, followed by a medium-bodied, ample and satiny palate with melting tannins and a saline finish.
