This shortish (10-day) skin contact blend always delivers on its promise as an earlier-drinking, more upfront style than Radikon’s core range. Its wild berry, camomile and fruit tea payload is attention-grabbing and expressive. From a rainy vintage, the 2023 has wonderful freshness and a firm, grippy structure. The much wilder 2022, which I adored for its va-va-voom, may prove more divisive.

The 2023 "S" Slatnik mixes crushed green apples with a cascade of sweet spice and mint. It is soothingly round, more savory than sweet, with stern minerality offset by juicy acidity as tart orchard fruits add a crunchy sensation toward the close. The 2023 tapers off long yet fresh, leaving hints of sour lime that pucker the cheeks.
