Based on 75% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 5% Mourvèdre from the more southern portions of the Costières appellation and vinified with 30% whole clusters and aged one year with 25% in barrels, the 2023 Costières De Nîmes Nostre Païs reveals notes of black raspberries, pepper, wildflowers, lavender, and spice. It's medium-bodied, has a layered, elegant mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, no hard edges, and outstanding length. This is a “wow” Costières de Nîmes that's best enjoyed over the coming 4-6 years, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it evolve longer. Drink 2025-2031.

This is a savoury expression of Costières de Nîmes, with sloe, elderberry and strawberry flavours. It's an appealing, full-bodied, generous style that's concentrated but not heavy thanks in part to its zesty acidity. Alcohol is gently warming but not hot.
