Welcome to the mountain meadows with all the wildflowers, fresh grass and herbs. There’s also a touch of floral honey on the very elegant, barely medium-bodied, off-dry palate. Super-long, racy finish with almost supernatural energy. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.

The 2023 Riesling Elisenberger Spätlese, made with mostly unbotrytized fruit, opens with an exquisite sense of Navel orange peel and a touch of Mirabelle jelly. These twin flavors vie for attention on the palate, yet neither takes the upper hand, providing zesty-laced juiciness that is totally delicious and wonderfully light.
