The 2023 Saint-Aubin Sous Roche Dumay 1er Cru comes from two parcels between 15 and 20 years old. This is quite complex on the nose, with honeysuckle, quince and citrus peel scents. It has an underlying mineralité only surfacing with aeration. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with a keen line of acidity and real tension here. It may be the most Puligny-esque of Damien Colin's Saint-Aubin cuvées, with a linear finish that gets the saliva flowing. This is excellent.
