An even mid ruby colour, lovely cherry and raspberry, a few tannins behind, medium plus concentration of really attractive fruit, picked at the right time, with good length and just a little bit of the southern herbal character that Etienne Grivot associates with this vineyard. Drink from 2030-2037. Tasted Nov 2024.

An elegant and airy nose displays the essence of red cherry along with much more discreet spice and floral nuances. The beautifully detailed and vibrant medium-bodied flavors exude an almost pungent minerality on the youthfully austere, balanced and beautifully long finale. This is a Nuits of finesse and grace. *Outstanding*

The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Roncière 1er Cru has a very pleasant bouquet with redcurrant, cranberry and strawberry scents that are pure Pinot Noir. Like Grivot's other cuvées, this has exquisite delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet entry. This is the one cuvée from Grivot that may have too much exoticism. Hints of fig tincture the red fruit, although there's perhaps not quite the same nervosité on the finish compared to others. Fine.
