Tightly knit and focused, featuring dark cherries, fresh herbs and subtle oak spice. Medium-bodied with a linear profile and firm, yet finely integrated tannins. Long and slightly chewy finish. Drink or hold.

The nose is primarily savory and sanguine, with aromas of top soil and cracked black pepper, while overtones of raspberries and blackberries provide balance. The palate is cohesive, as more dark berries and fruit dance above an enduring foundation of metallic, peppery earth. Chalky tannins keep vigorous acid in check.

Pouring a medium red/garnet color, the 2023 Rosso Di Montalcino shows off polished and forward notes of cedar, oak spices, ripe cherries, and toast. Medium-bodied, it’s zesty with notes of salted orange on the palate, with youthful chalky tannins and a clean finish. It’s more than a simple quaffer and has the ability to improve over the next couple of years. Drink 2026-2035.

Rich and laced with plum, black cherry, raspberry, iron and tobacco flavors. There’s a solid structure underneath, and this shows fine balance and length. Enjoyable now and even better in a year. Drink now through 2030. 22,000 cases made, 10,000 cases imported.
