Petit describes the wine's restraint and elegance, as snappy acidity and silky tannins match restrained alcohol. The Petit is packed with the aromas and flavors of Bing cherries, lemon zest, bittersweet dark chocolate and a wisp of coriander and oak spice. The wine feels soft and refined on the palate. It spent 20 days on the skins and nine months in a mix of stainless steel and French oak.

Juicy and savory, featuring notes of dried citrus, sour cherries, dried herbs and iodine. Medium- to full-bodied, with firm yet well-integrated tannins and a chalky mineral sensation. Lingering and flavorful on the finish. Drink or hold.

The Petit Estate is a selection from younger vine blocks throughout the Hyland Estate. Vibrant red fruits are framed by lively notes of raspberry leaf and green tea in the aromas and a sweet note of earthy compost. The palate is lively and fresh as brisk red raspberries, black tea and sweet earth all come together in a rather tannic finish.
