The 2023 Bourgogne Blanc has a crisp and quite nuanced bouquet of Granny Smith and light fresh pear scents. This is quite mineral-driven, considering it is a mere regional white. The palate is well balanced and not complex. It has commendable weight, plenty of malic flavors and a dash of white pepper and dill on the finish.

Foudres, 600 litre barrels, older 228s and 10% in tank. A lime tint to the colour, while the nose is clearly riper than the Aligoté. A little more flesh on the palate but this is more marked by its biodynamic purity. Plenty of energy at the back of the palate, and fine persistence. Baby Puligny, almost. Includes some purchases. Drink from 2026-2028. Tasted Oct 2024.
