The 2023 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru was in barrel until the week before my visit in October and will be bottled early next year. This has an intense nose with touches of dried honey, beeswax, spice and lemongrass. It wears its heart on its sleeve. The palate is well balanced with a viscous texture and keen line of acidity. The pure finish is quintessential Corton-Charlemagne. It's excellent.

To be bottled in the New Year. Mid lemon yellow. A little oak, including some coconut, which reappear on the palate, alongside the concentrated sunny white fruit. The stones are surely present beneath, and there is a slight trace of lime. Balanced at 13.5%. Drink from 2029-2037. Tasted Dec 2024.
