A beautiful introduction to Northern Rhone syrah that is warm and generous with blackberry fruit, but also pepper, licorice and herbs. Ample, supple tannins build to a gently crunchy finish. 100% whole-cluster fermentation. Matured one third in oak cask and two thirds in concrete for one year. Drink or hold.

Notes of dark cherries and dark wild berries mingled with flowers and violet preface the 2023 Côtes du Rhône from Clape, a moderately weighted, round and supple wine with a juicy character, elegant tannins and a long, floral and mouthwatering finish. Crafted from 50- to 60-year-old vines planted in sandy, granite soils, this is a nice, classic rendition.

A solid step up, the 2023 Côtes Du Rhône reveals red and black fruits, pepper, iron, spice, and violet notes. Medium-bodied and beautifully balanced on the palate, it shows classic Clape character and impressive length. This beautiful wine will drink nicely over the coming 8-10 years. Drink 2025-2035.
